Well I was 10 and was still at Langtons Junior School.
I do remember my dad giving me a tenner to take in to stick in the charity bucket, thoug hat 10 you don't really give a shit about the rest of the planet.

Got my missus to stay in and tape (VHS if you are wondering) all the stuff I wanted... I went off to play Cricket.. got pissed after and went for a Ruby.. I think she picked us up... probably the main reason I married her... that and her oversized commedy breasts

Was 10 and on holiday in the West country. Was excited as my cousins had a brand new snooker table and we were going to visit one day. Get there and no one wanted to play though as they were all watching Bob fucking Geldof.

Queen and U2 were leagues better than anyone else that day even if the rest of U2 were pissed off at Bono for pissing around for so long during Bad that they didn't get to play Pride.
No wonder it launched both bands into new realms of mega-stardom.
